Kathryn Jay I came to the whole idea of spanking fiction late in life—so I've been making up for lost time over the past two years. I'd have read more romances growing up if I'd realized they might have satisfied my secret yearnings. As it is, I settled for the occasional reference or tease in Tom Sawyer and Gone With the Wind (what—you missed that one?), playing each over in my mind in that twilight between waking and sleep. Discovering spanking
fiction elsewhere on the net at age 40 opened up a whole new world, and the
disciplineanddesire.com site spoke to me in a very personal way. If what is missing
from many current romances is the spankings, then what was missing from many
spanking stories, for me, was the romance. I want to feel the love behind each
swat, see the passion that underlies the anger, know the commitment that makes
it all worthwhile. I found those things here, and after a while I couldn't
resist the urge to get some of my own imaginings down on paper. There is a part
of me in virtually every adult character I've written, male and female—often not
a part I intended to use. You can see a sample of my writing below. For the full story and many others, please join our website here.

Stand
Up All the Way Prickly and sarcastic, Erin has made keeping people at arm's length an art form. A disastrous first marriage left her with nothing but bitter memories… and a son she adores. She has no time for or interest in another man in her life. But a weekend caving trip puts Erin in intimate range of Cokely Tanner, a man with a devastating smile and a confident manner she finds unexpectedly beguiling. He is gentle and responsible and fair. But will Erin be able to handle Tanner's version of fairness when it includes spanking?
Any long-distance relationship has its difficulties, but for Susan Markham, still singed from a divorce years past, the separation from the new man in her life allows doubts and insecurities to grow. Ty Reynolds is determined not to let this new relationship fall apart, though, and plans a romantic getaway to reconnect. Is that enough, or will he have to take stronger measures?
