Millennium Falls II
Chapter Four
By Robin Smith
Oh, he was so good. His hands were
not the hands that a spankophile like her was supposed to fantasize
about; they weren’t big, rough, workman’s hands at all, but the slender,
aristocratic hands of a man whose only labor came from writing checks
and pouring cognac. But he was good with them. They were the hands of
a man who overlooked no details, hands that belonged to a meticulous
eye, hands that were always soothing and cool no matter how much heat
they were capable of drumming into her. After feeling those hands take
such complete command of her, she couldn’t even imagine another man’s
hands on her body.
Okay, she was gushing, and sure, his
spanking prowess just might be influenced in part by her total lack of
experience with spankers, but she was sure his lovemaking would still be
considered extraordinary even if she’d had a hundred lovers.

Dusty's Ghost Town
Chapter Five
By Brandy
Dillon stood up and stared down at
her, drinking in the sight of her pale limbs in the moonlight and the
sweet curve of her feminine hips. His lips tightened and a muscle
ticked in his jaw. “I have to go now, or I won’t be able to stay out of
your bed tonight,” he said hoarsely.
Dusty wanted to protest. She wanted
to scream at the unfairness of it all, but she finally nodded mutely and
turned her face into the pillow. He wanted to stay – and probably would
with a little encouragement from her, but she couldn’t do it. He wasn’t
hers to encourage – and he thought she was someone else.

Paradise
Chapter Five
By Belle
“Where’s the fire?” he asked, both peeved and relieved that nothing
seemed to be wrong.
“In my butt, I hope. I need you to spank me.”
A flummoxed Hank said, “Here? Now? Why?”
“Because I need it, Hank.”
“I thought we weren’t going to, I mean, you said you weren’t sure you
wanted to. So what is this really all about, Nina? Do you get off on
jerking me around? Because that’s how I feel – jerked around.”

The St. Valentine's Day Massacre
and Pajama Party
Chapter Two
(Last Chapter)
By April Hill
The last fifty miles to the cabin were
tortuous, with heavy snow, ice on the road, and visibility falling like
a rock. The whole time, Janet was giving unwelcome advice, virtually
without pause. Driving slowly in the fog was more dangerous than driving
fast. Someone could rear-end you. Deer weren’t stupid enough to just
stand there and let you run them down. They’d move at the last minute,
if you simply called their bluff.
Two hours late, we finally arrived
safely, having run down no deer, and avoiding rear end collisions. We
pulled up in front of the cabin mere seconds before I lost it completely
and dumped a Thermos of cold coffee over Janet’s head.

The Valentine's Day Party
By Sebrina Winchester
His eyes narrowed and she knew he was
looking closely for anything that would indicate that she wasn’t being
truthful. Then he asked a very bad question.
“How many did you mail, Sherri Lynn?”
Oh, shit, she
was screwed now for sure. She had never been able to lie, and this would
be no different. This was certainly not the way she’d wanted this to go.
She knew exactly what would happen when he had his answer. Damn him and
damn this stupid, heart-filled, cupid-loving, candy-eating,
flower-giving holiday for lovers.

Millennium Falls II
Chapter Three
By Robin Smith
Returning to the library in the
evening was reclusive and antisocial and quite rude, but also a
difficult habit to break after so many years. Especially since tonight,
Archer had something to brood over.
This wasn’t going to work. He’d known
that, intellectually, but had hoped to cling to the fantasy longer than
five days. He’d mentioned his brothers, she’d asked about them, and
there he stood, trapped, because he knew full well that this incarnation
of Archer Moorecott had no siblings, no parents, no surviving relatives
of any kind apart from Thomas, and any wagging tongue in the town below
them would be only too happy to tell the girl so.
This wasn’t going to work. He had too
much to hide, too many lies that mattered more than his happiness.

Dusty's Ghost Town
Chapter Four
By Brandy
Once they were gone, Dusty got out of
bed and put the book away. She flipped off the light and went to the
window to see if there were any stars out to make a wish on. Childish,
maybe, but it was worth a shot! When she pulled the blinds up, the
sight she encountered startled her so much that she let out a wild
shriek.
A pair of very hungry-looking green
eyes was staring at her from the deck! The big cat opened its mouth and
spit at her, its teeth pulled back in a snarl. This was no cute little
ghost cougar, this was the real thing, and she tripped as she fell
backward and landed on the floor. She could hear the screen ripping and
claws scratching against the window as Dillon came running into the
room. She cried out in fear, afraid the huge cat was going to hurl
itself through the glass!

Paradise
Chapter Four
By Belle
Tears filled her eyes again, but this
time for a different reason. “It was a nurse at a Dallas hospital. My ex
and his girlfriend had a car accident. They found my number scribbled on
a piece of paper in his wallet.”
He turned his back, leaving the bedroom. “I’m going to go. It’s late,
and I have early handyman appointments tomorrow.”
She ran to him, hating how needy she felt, but knowing it might be the
last time she saw him if she didn’t tell him the truth. “Look, he’s in
the emergency room, unconscious. I don’t know why he was carrying my
number, but he was, so the hospital called me. He’s going into surgery
and they wanted to contact someone who knows him. Don’t you have any
compassion?”
“For your ex? Hell, no.” With that, he
left.

A Vegas Valentine
Chapter Two
(Last Chapter)
By Katrina
She really didn’t know why she was so
angry. He had not said anything to be mean to her but it was the fact
that she hadn’t made love to him that was wearing on her so badly. She
thought she had just forgotten and the fact that it didn’t happen at all
made her feel like a total loser.
“Liza,” he said.
“Shut up. We’re getting divorced,
asshole.” She tossed the contents of her wine glass at him for good
measure, grabbed her bag and her wrap and stalked out of the
restaurant. She didn’t look back as she almost ran to the elevator and
quickly punched the up button. Tears were blinding her when she escaped
into the empty car and rode up to the fifth floor.

The St. Valentine's Day Massacre
and Pajama Party
Chapter One
By April Hill
“Okay,” he said, grimly. “Let’s try
this another way. Keep your hands off the thermostat – period.
This is the second one you’ve wrecked, and we can’t afford another visit
from the furnace guy. I’m beginning to think the two of you have
something going.”
Just beneath the joking, Neil’s voice
had begun to develop a slight edge – a very familiar edge that should
have warned me the temperature in the room was, indeed, on its way up,
and to back off before it got hotter than I liked. But I wasn’t about to
surrender to a little husbandly bullying, so like the mature and
intelligent adult that I am, I stuck out my tongue and gave him the
finger.

Millennium Falls II
Chapter Two
By Robin Smith
“Obviously, there will be degrees of
infractions and so it is only fitting there be degrees of punishment as
well. For the more serious insults, such as self-deprecatory remarks or
unseemly displays of temper, you will be asked to fetch the cane.”
She glanced toward the stand at that
and licked her lips nervously before nodding.
“As for other offenses – and we’ll
come to them in a moment – my hand alone should suffice, unless you have
a preference?”
“I haven’t been doing this long enough
for preferences.”
“If you should discover them,” he said
with a smile, “never hesitate to introduce them. I want you to enjoy
this, Elizabeth. So to speak. I mean to enjoy it as well.”

Dusty's Ghost Town
Chapter Three
By Brandy
“Did anyone ever tell you how bossy
you are?” Dusty grouched.
He laughed then, his low, rich timbre
sending chills through her. “It’s a habit.”
She turned to go in but he brought her
back around and dropped a kiss on her upturned mouth. “You’re really
sweet when you’re not whining,” he said huskily.
“I don’t whine,” she replied, her
pulse racing.
“Turned over a new leaf, have you?”

Paradise
Chapter Three
By Belle
Hearing
ambivalence in her voice, he said, “Maybe we should have an actual date,
not just a fuh – I mean, get to know each other a little before we do it
again. I don’t want you thinkin’ I’m in it just for the sex.”
“How do you
know I’m not in it just for the sex?”
Christ!
He
stammered, “Uh, well, if you’d rather we go to your place, this
red-blooded male won’t turn you down.”
She laughed, a lot louder this time.
“Listen to me – I am so bad. I’ve never been a bad girl in my
life, up ‘till now. It’s kinda fun.”

Katie and the Paint Job
By Robin Smith
It was going to be a bad thing after
all, she decided. It was also still worth it.
“I’m not sorry,” she declared.
“Tell me what you did.”
“She’s an emotional vampire. She got
what she deserved.”
“I want to hear you say it out loud.”
“She’s lucky I didn’t do worse.”
“Worse than what, Katie?”

“Why don’t you just go out with him,”
Kelsie whispered. “He’s drop dead gorgeous, really talented and
intelligent to boot.”
“He stopped asking, in case you
haven’t noticed.”
“Well, the man has his pride,” Kelsie
hissed. “I mean, you shot him down so many times, you’d think he’d
never speak to you again.”
“Oh, why don’t you go out with him
then,” Liza whispered back.
“Uh, I’m married?”
“Technicality.”

Millennium Falls II
Chapter One
By Robin Smith
Archer stepped back and opened the
library door. He waited and finally the girl came forward and went
inside. All right, then. So far, so good. He joined her and quietly
closed the door.
“I’m sorry about Friday,” she began.
“Please bring me one of the canes from
the stand just there.”
She moved at once to obey, still
trying to make her apologies, but stammered to a stop when she had the
thing in hand. She’d selected the brass-tipped walking stick. An
excellent choice. Quite durable, as well as imposing.
She could have put it down. She
didn’t.

Dusty's Ghost Town
Chapter Two
By Brandy
“Get those shorts and panties down and
bend over the blanket.”
She stared at him, her eyes widening.
“Excuse me?” He couldn’t be serious; the heat must have affected his
brain! She had a sinking feeling it hadn’t, though, and she also had a
feeling he wasn’t planning to have sex with her from behind, either!
He pulled his belt from the loops, and
the hiss of leather on fabric made Dusty feel weak in the knees.
Obviously, he was very serious about this! He had made comments
about spanking, but she hadn’t taken him seriously, not in today’s
world! Apparently, she was about to experience an old-fashioned trip to
the woodshed – only in this case, it was the pole barn!

Paradise
Chapter Two
By Belle
Too bad this was only a one-night stand. They’d both agreed on that.
Hadn’t they?
He gazed at her again. One-night stand or not, he didn’t want to be her
rebound guy, with the ink barely dry on her divorce decree. He’d had
Chelle – until she left him – and a rebound woman who’d been clear she
wasn’t in it with him for love. Now he wanted someone to love,
but Nina was clearly still reveling in experimentation. She probably
would, for a while.
The universe’s timing was lousy
sometimes.

Severing Ties
By Maren
“Mr. and Mrs. Michaels, I don’t have
you scheduled until four-thirty, right?”
“Yes, ma’am,” Wade answered. For them
both. Again. Bobby Ann swallowed an automatic and caustic comment;
this wasn’t the time or place.
Starker sat down slowly, casting each
of them a wary and reproachful look. “For the record, I think this is a
bad idea. However, so long as Mr. and Mrs. Bryant are aware they do not
need their lawyers present during the course of this mediation, then
there’s not a lot I can say about this, other than I expect you both to
be professionals, polite to one another, and on point. This concerns
the Bryants’ divorce, not your own.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Wade replied. Easy.
Affable. Always the professional, anyway, since you first had to be
halfway human before being capable of a passionate and emotional
response.

Ruby and the Wolf
By Laura Smith
Ruby had her mouth open to say more,
but snapped it shut when she saw the molten gold of anger in his eyes.
She took a step back, nervous, but still unafraid. Something in her
mind detached itself to turn that over and really think about it. Yes,
he could hurt her and yes, he was a stranger, but she trusted him to
never hurt her.
Still, it was better to be safe and
when he began to stalk back to her, she stumbled away.
Before she could think that it might
be a good idea to run, he had grabbed her wrist and jerked her hard
against his chest.
